Quick #Diet Tip!: Fruit isn't just fruit! The color, seed composition, and texture are indicators of its nutritional value and benefits! My advice to you - EAT THE RAINBOW. #noskittles. (i.e PINK & RED fruits/veggies are rich with lycopene and beta carotene in which are #antioxidant precursors for Vitamin A and promote heart, joint, and prostate health. YELLOW & ORANGE fruits/veggies have similar benefits but are usually rich with potassium, fiber, & vitamin c and promote eye and cardiovascular health. GREEN fruits/veggies are among the most potently #nutritious choices in produce color choices and are excellent sources of iron, folic acid, lutetin, and zeaxanthin. BLUE & PURPLE #fruits have been know for their disease fighting properties and are potent antioxidants and have unique nutrients like anthcyanin.
