The energy is not as high as I was expecting it to be by now, but the results are surely being seen. P90x is the truth and it’s the first stepping stone to me and my better life. I really must say that I notice how the results are really helping when I had to carry a case of water up a flight of stairs. In the past I would have been winded and needing a minute to catch my breath. This time I notice that I barely felt out of breath or the need to take a minute to relax…on top of all that I wasn’t drenched in sweat from head to toe. I really like the fact of being able to handle some of the daily tasks without feeling the need to take a shower.
On to the workouts…sad to say that I find myself taking breaks between them more and more often. Some for contributing factors are football season, school and my daughter’s soccer practices and games. I have tried to add some running during the soccer practices to account for the need exercise too late at night. As far as the football and school, they’re really just excuses to keep me from having to workout. Another factor is the diet; I have really fallen off the diet training on this cycle. The pockets have been on empty as of late, so the ability to buy the protein bars are limited and food has been on a high level in the calorie count. Though I do seemingly have been able to maintain somewhat of a good diet, it is not as strict as it was in the beginning. The weight has snuck back up to the high 190’s and will not settle for that weight.
With the breaks between the workouts, some of the workouts are just as tough as they were in the beginning of the program. I have found that the abripperX is killing me again. I’ve done it twice in the last few weeks and find that I was not able to finish the program that I was able to finish with a lot less effort. The scissor kicks are what I believe is the problem, I get this click in my right hip that I don’t want to be an issue if I can keep it from being one.
The last note that I would pass on to all my p90x transformation doers…if you can buy the free weights to do the exercises; they make a world of difference. A good example is the triceps extensions…previous when I was using the bands; I would feel the burn but could pull out 20 to 25 depending on the p band. With the 15 pound weight, I find that I am struggling to get through 15 reps. The burn the next day is also a good feeling, it tells me the results are coming with the hard work.
If you change your mind your body will follow!
