The process has tested my abilities of physical fitness in ways that I have not been tested before. Though I see some of the changes I have a long way to go…only thirty days into the p90x workout process I can see that my pants are looser and my body is craving more nutrients. Those are the good things, the bad is that I have found myself more and more tired on a daily basis. I do not have the extra energy to do the things that I used to enjoy, like a round of golf on the weekends. Not to digress, so lets stay focus on the purpose of the post.
Today‘s post is a best effort of the last 30 days of workout on the p90x plan. The first let’s talk about the diet plan. I did the weight and measuring process to see where I wanted to make my meal plan around. I basically decided to keep my daily meals into the 1700 calorie range. The first few days I notice one thing about the process; I was and still am always hungry. Not the type of hunger that gives me a loss of focus but that hunger that nags about finding the next sandwich. The good thing is that by the 30th day I started at a weight of 205 and on day 30 I am at 186, not a bad change if I say so myself. So to say that the meal along with the workouts does work, I would have to agree whole heartily.
The workouts are good up to the next to last week before the resting phase. I find that the workouts become mundane and it’s right in time for a change. I have love hate for some of the workouts though. Let’s start with the hate, YOGAX. I know to most people Yoga is for girls and it’s not hard at all, someone has lied to me and any other guy who has not tried it. Another issue that I do not enjoy about the Yogax is the length of the process, 1:30 mins…by far the longest of all the workouts, which for me through a wrench in the schedule I made up for the time I needed to work out and be ready to head out to work in the morning.
The good, I find that I really enjoy the Ploymetrics, though I still don’t completely finish the entire workout. I do finish the majority…and boy oh boy do you know you’ve burnt some calories on this one. I literally have found that the sweat is something serious on this one. I really feel great after this workout, though I normally take a quick nap after, but it feels good to get through.
All in all the final day of the 30 day, some of the changes I like are there and some that I see that I need to work on harder are still noticeable. Like to man Tony Horton repeat on just about every video, “KEEP PUSHING PLAY” and I and you will see the results.
